Vangelis spent the next two years writing and producing studio-bound, Greek artists after The Forminx split. After this Vangelis composed music for three Greek films named There are My Brother, the Traffic Policeman (1963), 5,000 Lies (1966) and To Prosopo tis Medousas (1967).

Vangelis agreed to record the score for Chariots of Fire (1981) in 1980. This film was very humble and low budget.Vangelis wrote the score for the films Bitter Moon (1992) and The Plague.Vangelis released Soil Festival in 1984 which was inspired by the interaction between nature and microscopic living creatures.
